The Doosan DL280-7 (2021 model year) is a mid-sized wheel loader from the "-7" series, built for high-performance material handling in construction, scrap, and aggregate applications. The 2021 model year incorporates the significant redesign of the -7 platform, focusing on operator visibility, productivity, and smart technology integration.
Engine: Doosan DL06 (6-cylinder, turbocharged diesel).
Power: Approximately 189–190 hp.
Operating Weight: Roughly 34,500–35,000 lbs.
Bucket Capacity: Generally configured around 3.6–3.7 cubic yards.
Transmission: Automatic powershift with torque converter lock-up.
Emissions: Tier 4 Final compliant, utilizing SCR and DPF technology.
Transparent Bucket Technology: A hallmark of the -7 series, this feature uses front-facing cameras to project a view onto an in-cab monitor, effectively allowing the operator to "see through" the bucket and reduce blind spots.
Operator Environment: The cab is designed with 14% more glass area compared to previous models for superior visibility. It includes the Doosan Smart Touch 8-inch screen for intuitive controls, a pressurized cab, and automatic climate control.
Efficiency: Features "Situation Awareness Technology" (SAT2) which automatically adjusts engine power based on real-time load demands, helping to optimize fuel consumption during load-and-carry or stockpiling cycles.
Maintenance: Designed for high uptime with ground-level service access, grouped maintenance points, and a standard automatic reversible fan to keep the cooling package clean
