The 2021 John Deere 850L LGP is a high-performance, low-ground-pressure crawler dozer engineered for heavy earthmoving, site development, road construction, land clearing, pipeline work, landfill operations, and fine grading applications. Powered by a John Deere PowerTech PSS 6090 9.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, the 850L LGP delivers approximately 225 horsepower (168 kW) and produces up to 831 lb-ft (1,126 Nm) of torque. The engine meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards and is equipped with advanced fuel-management and aftertreatment systems designed to maximize efficiency while minimizing emissions. With an operating weight of approximately 51,300 pounds (23.27 metric tons), the 850L LGP provides substantial pushing force and traction for demanding applications. The machine is commonly equipped with a Power-Angle-Tilt (PAT) blade measuring 171 inches wide, allowing operators to perform rough grading, finish grading, backfilling, spreading, and ditch maintenance with a single attachment. Many units are also equipped with rear rippers or winches for increased versatility in heavy-duty applications. The operator station features a fully enclosed ROPS/FOPS-certified cab designed for comfort and productivity.
