Cat 336E L long-undercarriage crawler excavator in the 36-ton class, built for mass excavation, trenching, utility work, and truck loading. Power comes from the Cat C9.3 ACERT at about 300 net hp, Tier 4 Interim with the Cat Clean Emissions Module and automatic or on-demand regeneration, and no DEF system. The two-pump hydraulic system has boom and stick regeneration, a heavy lift mode, and automatic engine speed control. Standard, economy, and high power modes are selected from the color LCD monitor. Two-speed travel and the long undercarriage give it stability on a lifting or trenching cut. With the 12 ft 10 in stick, max dig depth is about 26 ft 10 in.
