    About Gyro-Trac

Summerville, South Carolina,-based Gyro-Trac’s roots go back over 20 years to when two brothers, Daniel and Guy Gaudreault, were working as contractors for land clearing operations in Canada and decided to try their hand at designing their own mulching machines, drawing on their experience for guidance. The result was a lightweight, fuel-efficient mulcher that was capable of handling all types of terrain while working in the forest.

    Product Lines

Today, the company specializes in mulching machines and cutter heads as well as various technologies under the NEXUS banner for remote diagnostics and communications to speed up the repair process and monitor general machine health. Gyro-Trac’s products also take advantage of Sabre-Tooth Titan cutting technology, which can turn wood into “sawdust-like mulch” more efficiently.

    Mulchers & Cutter Heads

Gyro-Trac’s line of mulchers includes the GT-35, GT-25 XP, GT-16, and GT-140 XL self-propelled mulchers and the BBS-XP mulcher-baler. Cutter heads include the 700 HF Heavy Duty, the 500HDM Excavator, the 500 HF Hi Flow, the 400 HL Hi/Lo Flow, and the Low Flow Boom. One of the more popular Gyro-Trac machines you’ll find listed on ForestryTrader.com, the GT-25 XP, is a heavy-duty mulcher powered by a 270-horsepower Cummins Tier-III turbo diesel engine. It features a low-profile, forward-tilt cab with a suspension seat, hydraulic pumps and motors, and a 700 HF cutter head with a 6,000-psi operating pressure and 30 fixed teeth. The GT-25 XP takes full advantage of the company’s Sabre-Tooth cutting tech.
