    About Stationary Log Loaders

Log loaders are integral to logging operations because they use a boom and grapple combination to load or unload logs onto trucks or various landing areas. Stationary log loaders don’t have the same mobility as other alternatives and will need to be hauled to a location and properly secured in place prior to use. Because they are planted firmly, however, they can often lift and move more weight at one time than some wheel or track models. There are also different configurations among stationary log loaders; some have dedicated cabs and others can be operated remotely, which opens them up for more potential usage scenarios.

    A More Permanent Solution

Where track, wheel, truck, and trailer log loaders are specifically deigned to be mobile, stationary log loaders are best suited for more permanent or at least semi-permanent logging operations. For example, if you have something of an assembly line where you use processors (or harvesters), delimbers, and yarders to bring logs close to a landing area and then use a log loaders to put the lumber onto trucks, a stationary model might be a good option. These machines are also great for use at sawmills or lumber yards where other stationary machines are frequently used.
