About Track Processor / Harvesters
Along with wheeled models, tracked processor/harvesters are considered a key workhorse of any forestry operation. Tracked models are able to traverse muddy, snowy, or sloped forest grounds to cut timber that a wheeled processor wouldn’t be able to reach. Tracked models can fell, delimb, and cross-cut a tree in seconds on rough terrain. Conversely, wheeled models generally offer greater stability due to their articulated joints and ability to spread their weight among numerous wheels.

Features & Capabilities
At heart, a tracked processor is a forest machine, or an adapted excavator, with a harvesting head on the end of a hydraulic boom. Many tracked processors are compact enough to enter dense groves of trees that are inaccessible to larger machines, yet they’re still powerful enough to process standing trees into cut-to-length logs quickly and efficiently.
