    About Slasher Saws

Slasher saws, also referred to as sawmills and ground saws, are used to cut one or more delimbed logs to be easily transported by a logging truck. Logs are placed in the saw’s steel-framed cradle where a circular blade or chain and bar saw emerge from the saw box to make the cut. Many slasher saws are stationary and sit directly on the ground, but there are mobile models that either have built-in wheels or can be mounted to a trailer for towing to and from worksites. Manufacturers typically offer optional add-ons and custom configurations as well, which may include extended folding or stacking chassis, reversible saw boxes, and more.

It comes standard with a 59-inch (1,499-millimeter) saw bar and features an automatic chain oiler with a four-gallon (15-liter) tank. The DL-4400 is built with tube and alloy steel for maximum durability and uses a bar and chain system to make quick and accurate cuts.
